Cindy Tysinger and her employees have a knowledgeable, cohesive understanding of small business IT and our specific business requirements and challenges. Their structured yet flexible approach to our church business has provided us with a high degree of confidence and security in our IT abilities to support our church's mission.

Rockville UMC is a long distance client. There was concern by RUMC management regarding the level of service we would receive by using a non-local IT contractor. GSATi's high level of responsiveness and thoroughness in the resolution of our immediate needs has eliminated these concerns. Given the limitations of our budget, Rockville UMC has received a superior level of service beyond the level of our IT budget when compared to services of past providers. Our shared opinion is that we have received a level of service that would have been provided a client with a much larger IT budget.

Rockville UMC is a suburban church with a membership of about 500 members, whose origins date back to 1874. It is located in the historical district of downtown Rockville, MD. Like many churches and nonprofits with limited budgets, we have relied heavily on volunteers which enabled us to minimize our use of technology for a time. This postponed the church's understanding of the importance of using information technology as a tool to build a stronger church to provide more effective church business management, member services, communications, and marketing to attract current and future members. Our previous experiences with outsourcing IT services to local consultants resulted in difficulties in finding a strong balance of IT and business knowledge with skills, responsiveness, dependability, communication skills, consistency of service, and trustworthiness that would enable us to create and manage a computer user friendly IT environment. GSATi excels in these areas.

Our IT environment represents a range of IT challenges in a constantly changing and increasingly more complex IT environment. An insufficient budget has resulted in the lack of internal IT support and a weak IT infrastructure.

GSATi must work with our volunteers, staff members, and IT related contractors, many of whom have limited computer and/or IT experience. Rockville UMC, like many churches and nonprofits, suffers from the lack of IT personnel and knowledgeable IT users to support our church mission and scope. Hiring IT skills internally is cost prohibitive. They have established working relationships with each of our constituents through their coordinated support systems. They have provided a comfort level that has eliminated questions related to the probability of success of our relationship.

We struggle to meet our current hardware and software needs required to support our growth needs in a constantly changing and costly IT environment. GSATI has assisted us with identifying and analyzing our immediate and future IT needs. We are focusing on creating global strategies to build a more substantial current and future IT management and IT infrastructure. These strategies will lower our IT costs, which will improve our efficiencies of scale and broaden and enhance the level of services to our church members and business relationships.
